So I am having a weird issue with the time on my computer, I have years of experience with computers and have never experienced this. I am running Windows 8 Professional, the full version. Windows 8 Installation Error - Just cant get it to work!
Morning all....
Been trying for a couple of days to get Win8 to install on my custom built PC. Had absolutely no luck.
I've tried to upgrade Win7 x64 with no success, and tried from the boot DVD (checked hash etc.).
Every time I try, the installation screens get corrupted. e.g the display goes all blurred and when you move the mouse, is just moves blocks of the screen around making it...

DirectDraw games performance
Dunno if this was asked before, but I searched and found nothing.
I am having issues with games that seem to be DirectDraw based. There are two main things I noticed:
Performance - Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive - the game works awfully slow. My machine may not be the best there is, its a Q6600 with GTS 450, but c'mon, this is an old game.

I have been using W7 since it's release in the UK and it fulfills all my needs. However, being of quite advanced years I also look upon my computer as a hobby and means of mental exercise.

Complete tested version of Windows 8.
I am a student and I own MSDN account. I found Windows 8 release date is October 26, 2012 but my account does not state that 'Windows 8 Professional' available there is 'Release Candidate' or something like this.
Is windows version available at MSDN a full tested version? Should I upgrade my Windows 7 to Windows 8 or should I wait till October 26?

So I powered on the computer today and was met with this:

Why doesn't Windows 8 recognize my 2nd SATA HDD?
2 HDD's attached during Win8 installation, 1st was 500GB boot drive, 2nd was a (NTFS) 2TB HDD populated media drive. screen flickering with Crossfire Radeon HD 5770's

Windows 7 games won't work on Windows 8
The problem is that Max Payne 3 and Sleeping Dogs were installed on my Windows 7 x64 but when I dual booted Windows 8, they wont work in Windows 8 even if I set the Compatibility Mode for Windows 7 for these games.
I know that running the setup and installing it again in Windows 8 would solve the problem, but I got rid of the setups once I installed them.

Got error code : 800F0920 when i attempted to install KB2756872 (Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems )on my hp pavilion g6-1331sa running windows 8 pro.
An endless loop of windows update configuration getting stuck at 13% and after about 15 minutes the laptop restarting.
